Gintaute Gataveckaite

Gintaute Gataveckaite [Ghin-toe-té Gata-vet-sky-té] is an award-winning Lithuanian pianist living in Melbourne and enjoying a busy performance schedule. She is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, and the University of Melbourne.

Gintaute, acclaimed both locally and internationally, has performed regularly throughout Australia, the U.K., Europe, and China. Highlights include the Wigmore Hall and the Southbank Centre in London, Melbourne Recital Centre, Guangzhou Opera House and many more.

As a performing artist, Gintaute’s daily objective is to explore the technical, expressive and sonic capabilities of the piano while expanding her diverse repertoire. She gains much inspiration from her other passions in life which include travel, photography, visiting art galleries, and exploring the city and the great outdoors. Sharing music with an audience forms an essential part of her life.
